Thought of the day blog post: What "I don't have time to work out" really means...

Ahhh, the words every coach is sick of hearing.

When someone says they don't have time to worm out what they’re really saying is “it’s not my priority “.

Our priorities are the areas of our lives that are meaningful and important to us.

They're usually activities, practices, or relationships that we want to put genuine effort and time into (thanks to Google for that definition!)

Up at the top of the priority list for for the majority of people are work and family. And rightly so, same here, but coming very close to that should be a regular exercise routine and nutritional diet.

You don't have to want to be a bodybuilder or to be an aspiring athlete. But having a healthy relationship with your diet and a regular workout routine has clear and obvious benefits that are known the world over. It is simply a fact; you will lead a healthier, better, lifestyle with these things in place.

Let me give you an extreme example. Your doctor call you today and says “if you don’t start eating healthy and start exercising you’ll be dead by next year”. Now tell me you don’t have time to workout.

Instantly working out and healthy eating will become a priority. Make a choice today to start prioritising your health & fitness, before life makes the decision for you.
